Shooting is one of the most inclusive Olympic and Paralympic sports, where gender, age and disability are no barriers to success. This is the fourth National Shooting Week, a Government-backed initiative organised by the British Shooting Sports Council.
Derek Woods of the DBW Clay Company based on the Crichel Estate near Wimborne, said: “Shooting is a very popular sport as more people shoot than take part in athletics, rugby and hockey. We’re hoping that people from all walks of life will try shooting for the first time during the week. Why not give it a shot and call us?” We have availability on all days over half term week.
The week is aimed at people who have never experienced target shooting before, though all are welcome! Complete beginners who would like to try shooting should contact Derek Woods on 01258 858392 or 07957 882103 to arrange a lesson during the week.
HALF TERM FUN DAYS OUT
What better than to have a fun day shooting clays. During half term week, we welcome individuals or groups of any age above 10 years old to come and enjoy the countryside and 'break' some clays. The event can be designed, within reason, to suit the party. Do not hesitate to contact us.
